Check your LIC policy surrender value:

You can also check the surrender price of your traditional LIC policy online. Surrender value is the value you will get when you surrender your policy before the completion of the plan term. Surrendering the policy can be done during the duration of the plan by requesting the insurance company. The dedication value is calculated using the following formula –

Surrender value = [{Sum assured* (number of premiums paid/premiums paid) Total number of premiums payable)} + implied bonuses] * Surrender price factor

You can calculate your surrender value yourself or you can check the surrender value of your policy online in your policy details.

Why should LIC policy status be checked in time?

You should periodically check the status of your existing LIC policy. When you do periodic checks you can:

  • Find the premium due date
  • View the remaining period of the plan
  • Check the accumulated bonus
  • Revive a policy that has expired
  • Make any type of service request, etc.

Therefore, timely checking keeps you updated about your existing policy and you can plan your finances accordingly.

You can easily check the status of your LIC policy in various ways. Make the most of the facilities provided by LIC and keep an eye on your LIC policies to know your coverage.
